Part of the agreement between Seattle City Light and the Province of BC is that Ross Lake will be at full pool, as it is now, for July 1 to ensure lake-side recreation, camping including boat launch etc is possible beside this beautiful lake. As you may know, the road access to Ross Lake from the Canadian side, via Silver Skagit Road from Hope BC, is still unavailable following the November 2021 atmospheric river event that removed large sections of the gravel road.
The joint US/Canada nature interpreter program is suspended for this summer season while access decisions and repairs are made.
Have you been in the Upper Skagit Watershed yet, this year?
