Nancy Hirsh

Nancy operates a consulting firm called Hirsh Energy based in Seattle, WA, where she provides energy expertise and assistance to organizations, state and local governments, on utility, regulatory, and clean energy policy and development.

Nancy’s extensive experience and expertise was gained in her years of leadership at NW Energy Coalition, in Seattle as well. Notably:

• Establishing organizational mission, vison, and strategic direction in collaboration with the Board of Directors, Coalition staff and our 100 member organizations. Identifying strategic opportunities.
• Represented NWEC at forums and conferences throughout the Northwest states, and nationally. Serving on Boards of Directors and Advisory Committees, testifying before local, state, and regional policymaking bodies.
• Overseeing fundraising and operations for the $1.6 million budget. Working with and report to the NWEC Board of Directors. Developing the organizational budget. Managing the endowment and Board designated reserve fund to support the organization’s long-term financial health.
• Guiding the Coalition’s staff and creating an organizational culture that supports a diverse and inclusive team.
