Laurie Terry, USA Alternate Commissioner

Laurie Terry works for a Seattle-based environmental consulting company. Her role keeps the small business running smoothly, handling HR, administrative, and operations duties. She formerly worked with the Student Conservation Association for seven years. After wearing many hats with the organization around the country, in recent years she was working in partnership with land management agencies to place young adults into conservation internships in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Her passion lies in creating outdoor opportunities for people of all backgrounds, in order to stimulate a positive and meaningful relationship with our natural world.

Laurie is a senior fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program. Over the years she has volunteered with many trails organizations including the Pacific Crest Trail Association, Washington Trails Association, and SCA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
